Iran, Serbia to expand agricultural cooperation

BELGRADE, Sep. 13 (MNA) – Members of a high-ranking Iranian delegation and Serbian officials held various meetings in Belgrade to review ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the area of agriculture.

The delegation arrived in Serbia on Wednesday and held talks with different Serbian officials including minister of agriculture on expansion of bilateral ties in the related issues.

In a meeting with minister of agriculture and environment in Belgrade, Iranian delegation stressed agricultural cooperation especially in the fields of plant protection, production of seeds and crops.

They also met senior officials of Belgrade University, Faculty of Agriculture and exchanged views on academic and research work and cooperation between Belgrade and the faculties of agriculture in Iran.

The Iranian delegation led by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Abbas Keshavarz left Belgrade for Tehran late on Saturday.
